Mount Buller

Mt Buller had an eventful week, starting with an earthquake that lightly shook the area but didn’t dampen the spirits. The mountain hosted a series of events, including the Rossignol Ladies Day, where skiers enjoyed a luxurious experience, and the “Chicks Who Shred” event, which saw enthusiastic participation over two days. The Bull Run Cantina and the Wombat area also opened, adding to the resort's vibrant atmosphere. Falls Creek

Falls Creek experienced a week full of activities and favourable weather. The Australian para-alpine team trained on the slopes, taking advantage of the fresh 7cm snowfall. The resort was bustling with excitement, highlighted by the dazzling fireworks at Village Bowl and surprise visits from Crimson Rosellas. The snowmaking team ensured top-notch mountain coverage, preparing the slopes for the upcoming events. Mount Hotham

Hotham had a thrilling week, featuring a blend of fresh snow and sunny days. The highlight was the successful Freeride World Tour Qualifier, Australia’s first, with 200 competitors showcasing their skills. The Women’s Week was also a special event, marked by the inaugural White Ribbon run. The resort enjoyed consistent snowfall, providing excellent conditions for all visitors. Thredbo started the week strong with bluebird days, excellent conditions, and the continuation of the Thredbo Triple Crown. Excitement is building for the Battle on The Bluff course, set to take place on Monday, with a series of other events planned throughout the week to keep the momentum going. The Remarkables

The Remarkables enjoyed a busy week, highlighted by the Grassroots Freeride event, which drew in a solid turnout. The resort also hosted the 2024 NZ Adaptive Festival, offering a fantastic weekend for adaptive athletes. With last week’s bluebird conditions continuing and the potential for more snow ahead, the slopes are in excellent shape. Coronet Peak has been blessed with a series of bluebird days following the last storm, creating ideal conditions for skiers. The grooming and snowmaking teams have been working hard to maintain top-notch corduroy across the slopes. With all 8 lifts and 4 beginner areas open, skiers and snowboarders have plenty of terrain to explore. The resort is also gearing up for evening skiing with the popular Friday Night Ski. Cardrona’s snow remains in excellent condition thanks to recent top-ups and a solid storm last week. The resort introduced a new sit-ski, enhancing accessibility for adaptive snow sports. All 7 lifts are operational, with 5 out of 8 parks open, offering plenty of variety for all skill levels. Off-piste skiing requires caution due to some remaining hazards, but the groomed runs are in fantastic shape. Mount Hutt

Mount Hutt experienced a fresh 43cm snowfall, providing a top-up to the snowpack. The resort has been working hard to open more terrain, but some areas remain closed due to ongoing avalanche control work. The slopes are in excellent shape with 87-162cm of snow depth, making for great skiing and riding conditions. Road access has been limited due to safety measures, but the resort is gearing up for the weekend with a series of exciting events.
